I Like to Make Things

For the past 10 years, I’ve been responsible for all of the creative and content produced by The Webby Awards on all platforms, screens, and spaces. This includes the annual live award show, all of the videos featured at the event, the Call for Entries campaign, and The Webby People’s Voice online voting experience.

I conceive, pitch, manage, and ensure top-notch creative integrity on delivery for all sponsor initiatives for clients like Instagram, Google, Slack, Grey Goose, YouTube, Microsoft, HBO, and Zipcar.

I’m also an integral part of shaping the tone of the award ceremony. Held annually at Cipriani Wall St., this invite-only event hosts an eclectic array of extremely talented individuals. From artists and musicians, A-list actors and directors, billionaire founders and unsung tech heroes, the event is truly unlike any other. I’m on the small editorial board responsible for programming all aspects of the show. From deciding on a host and who receives Special Achievement Awards to creating the show flow and selecting relevant presenters, I’m integral to crafting the event.

And when I’m not doing those things, I direct all creative, show content, and sponsor material for The Lovie Awards, which takes place annually in London.
We have a lean and talented group at The Webbys, so each project requires building a new, external team of writers, directors, illustrators, actors, producers, developers...you name it.

If done correctly, great work can be done in any situation. Assembling the proper team for the job is essential to the success and satisfaction of everyone involved.

After graduating from Sarah Lawrence College with a BA in Creative Writing, Literature, and Film, I’ve worn many hats including time as a video producer for The One Club, and for clients like Magnum Photos, Saatchi & Saatchi, and TribalDDB. Floor 4 Projects, a toy design business founded by my wife and me, had our work featured in MoMA, which was very cool.

If any of this sounds interesting and you'd like to hear me talk about it in person, hit me up. I'm around.
